David McGratten

Growing up in Northwestern Ontario I have spent most of my life canoeing, kayaking, and doing anything that involves the outdoors. With this love for the outdoors Scouts had a big influence in my life, building my outdoor skills and knowledge. I have also worked in the outdoor education industry at various children camps around Ontario including life guarding, outdoor skill development, and leading various trips. I have just finished the Police foundation program at Confederation College in Thunder Bay and am seeking a career in this field.

This trip has been a dream of mine since I was in high school. I have spent many summers as a lifeguard at Dorion Bible Camp located on the shores of lake Superior and I feel deeply connected with the lake. I am looking forward to the challenges that this trip will pose and for the opportunity to push myself to new limits. I am excited to be fulfilling a dream!
